Founder's Story

I decided to call it a scene after spending 10 years in the corporate world. Enough
contemplation and introspection led me towards the path of entrepreneurship.

Dalchinii was born when the realities of over-consumption and consumerism hit me hard during the pandemic. People had been working from home for months and the lines between their personal and professional lives had started to blur.

I started drawing a correlation between people’s work-from-home lifestyle and their outfit choices. Fast-fashion trends were easily replaced by comfort and loungewear. That is when I began connecting the displaced dots and paved the way for an all-day, sustainable loungewear brand.

I fell in love with the concept of Minimalism while I was living in Japan for a couple of years. My love for the Japanese culture allowed me to add substance to Dalchinii as a brand. Dalchinii caters to the Japanese philosophy of ‘Nagamochisuru’ which easily translates to ‘Long Lasting’.

The idea of producing clothing that’s made to be worn all day long addresses my long-standing belief of taking inspiration from the ecosystem. When the idea for Dalchinii was planted in my heart, I knew that I wanted to build a community of equally conscious people who believed in giving back to the ecosystem.

This is my attempt at crafting stories, building a culture, and creating seamless
relationships that unite us through a common calling of sustainable and intentional
living.
